WELCOME

Who We Are

The Fraser Valley Autism Society (FVAS)  is a community support and information group that services the communities of Aldergrove, Abbotsford, Mission, and Chilliwack.  We meet to share ideas and information about all Autism Spectrum Disorders, including Asperger's Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, PDD, PDD-NOS, as well as organizing social events for our children and families.

FVAS meets the second Thursday of every month, September through June.  Meetings are free for members with a drop in fee of $2.00 for non members.  Refreshments are provided.

Donations are gratefully accepted.

Our monthly meetings offer information and contact with other parents and professionals, as well as guest speakers experienced in a variety of areas relating to autism.

We at the Fraser Valley Autism Society believe the following statements guide our support to children and their families:
  • Families know their child best and are a valuable source of information
  • Families have a right to respect and confidentiality
  • Families are always respected for their diversity, strengths and needs
  • Families are valuable and equal members of our support group
  • Families should have a variety of choices with respect to therapy and the resources available to them in their community
  • Families deserve support
